A broad coalition of community organizations and individuals will gather on Wednesday, August 5 at 4 p.m. outside the Eastport Port Authority in Eastport to fight the proposed DeepGreen Western Passage underwater Al data center and demand that the City Council advance two citizen-initiated ordinances without amendment ahead of the 6 p.m. public hearing.

The proposed $413 million, 400-acre underwater Al data center raises serious environmental concerns — including potential increases in water temperature in Passamaquoddy Bay, one of the fastest-warming marine environments in the world. These risks affect communities across Maine and Canada as well as Tribal nations. We say NO to parasitic projects that threaten our way of life to only benefit the billionaires.
