Fighting for Queer Justice and Climate Justice
Climate justice and queer justice are interconnected.
Queer justice isn’t just about identity—it's about fighting systems that oppress LGBTQIA+ people, especially those impacted by race, immigration, poverty, and disability. Climate justice recognizes that the climate crisis is rooted in political, economic, and social systems that have failed us.
Both movements challenge the same systems, colonialism and capitalism, that put profit over people and the planet. The queer community has always been on the frontlines of climate action. Because when disaster strikes, marginalized people, including LGBTQIA+ people, are often hit hardest.
This means that fighting for climate justice is fighting for queer justice. And together, we can build a world where everyone thrives.
